The Banfield Foundation donated $300,000 to the Arizona Humane Society to help thousands of pets from the Valley and their owners. The event offers employers and DVM students the opportunity to discuss potential employment and external employment opportunities. Veterinary Leadership Conference draws vets from across the US for a training event to help with National Veterinary Technician Week. This gives the students of the upper secondary school the opportunity to explore veterinary professions and develop skills with experienced animal experts.
Conference speakers include Dr. Jose Hinojosa, Dr., Dr. and Dr., J.B. Hines, Jr. Conference speakers include veterinarians from Texas A & M University and the University of Texas at Austin. Since 2002, he has been a Resident Veterinary Doctor at Tejas Veterinary Clinic and has served as an Assistant Professor of Veterinary Medicine at Texas State University's College of Veterinary Medicine.
He earned his PhD in veterinary medicine from Auburn University in 1997 and later earned his master's degree in veterinary science from Texas A & M University. He later earned and completed a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Veterinary Sciences from the College of Medicine at Texas State University.
Clay has worked in both clinical and educational settings, including at the University of Texas at Austin, Texas State University and Texas A & M University. He has also taught at Texas Veterinary Medical Center in Austin and the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas Southern University, and has taught PhD students in veterinary medicine, veterinary care and veterinary education in the United States and Canada.
Clay's interests in wildlife and veterinary medicine include deer, elk, coyotes, wild boar, foxes and other wildlife. Clay's animal and welfare interests include wolves, bears, cougars, owls, raccoons, leopards, peregrine falcons, turkeys, geese, birds of prey, reptiles, amphibians and mammals.
